    went in to activate windows, it says windows allready activated

    If its already activated then you need not activate it again.

    In an elevated command promt enter this commands in the same sequence:
    slmgr.vbs -upk

    slmgr.vbs -cpky

    slmgr.vbs -ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX(XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXXis your product key)

    slmgr.vbs -ato

    after entering each command wait a bit for the conformation to appear..

    Put in new key septprince, restarted computer, still black desktop. Thought about system restore, but can not go back far enough.

    Yes, found another pic, and tried to install that, but keeps opening up with a black background.
