it could be that windows is booting in safe mode. Is there any text on screen written safe mode?

And have you used any patch or something???

Is there any way of putting win7 back to default settings, as knowing me, I may have changed something without even knowing it.

Beta keys had expired some weeks ago.
That is why you Desktop is pitch black. And your computer will shutdown in every two hour.

System restore wont work.

use a RC key to activate. That should fix your problem.

I want to change my desktop wallpaper so that it has those diagonal lines that the wallpaper has when you highlight the 'show desktop' button on the bottom right of the screen while in another window. Is there a way of doing this?
