The Advanced Tools Performance Issues just says I may be able to improve performance by adjusting Visual Settings, but I think that's just because I've got custom settings (mainly just disabled the animation and fade effects).

I'm afraid I don't know what you mean by "tap system resources".
Standby works fine when I initiate it manually, so I don't think a standby trace is going to help. I've noticed thought that if I do "powercfg requests" a lot of the time it shows
