What does it mean "your system has timed out"?

I'm running Win7 home premium 64-bit using Mozilla to access Internet radio stations. Today I got an error msg that said "your system has timed out." What does it mean and how do I increase the setting to allow me to listen to the live streams 24 hours a day? (BTW, I do NOT know how to use RegEdit and we don't have any computer stores in this area where I can take the machine to be fixed. So the suggestions must be fairly simple to do, if that's possible.) Thank you for your help.

Thats probably from the stations themselves as I personally have never had "system timed out" message. Check setting for the stations and maybe even your isp documentation.

Barnkeeper- I've had an internet radio station stop service to my Win 7 x64 computer after there was no action on the desktop for a period of time.
