Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit

Hello Leeopia, and a big welcome to you from Sevenforums!

Here is a tutorial that you may want to follow. Further down you will find specific power plan settings: Power Plan Settings - Change

Now, make sure your computer is up to date by downloading all important updates from windows update, and make sure you have all drivers for your computer installed and the most up to date version. You can go into device manager and select the mouse properties, and make it where the mouse cannot wake the computer up (so you will have to tap the keyboard or use the power button).

I am not completely sure what power options you are refering to, however.

For the screensaver, go into screensaver under appearances and set it according to how you like it best set. If you set your computer to sleep or hibernate, screensaver is not needed. In fact, unless you leave your computer idling for a day or more, screensaver is all but useless. Newer screens require it less and less.

Lock PC by Power Options not screensaver
Hello, I am unable to lock my PC via power options. Although I have set it as to lock PC, it is impossible to do it as per Windows XP. The only way to lock it is through the screensaver, but this is not an option for me as I work 10 hours at an office and I prefer the blank screensaver to...

I've had my ASUS for only a few months and it works like a charm, but I noticed a few days ago that it's not going into sleep mode anymore. The only changes I've made were: 1. Installed nod32 (antivirus) 2. Changed my desktop wallpaper 3. Installed the Adobe update That's it. I didn't...

My screensaver and my power options are constantly chan
I set my screensaver to "Photos" but it is automatically being reset to "None". The same with my Power options. I set the monitor to never shut down. But then it is being reset to 20 minutes. My suspicion is that this happens when I change the Desktop background - but not always. Any ideas?
