    Gadgets or Rainmeter

    Hello,

I would like to have a CPU monitor, drive data, weather and notes (preferably which link to the cloud in some fashion so I can access from both my desktop and laptop), while using the minimal amount of system resources. Would you suggest I use Windows gadgets or Rainmeter?

    Thanks!

    I'd say Rainmeter.

Hello and welcome to Seven Forums.

I'd recommend Rainmeter over gadgets any day. It's not resource heavy(9k), has endless customisibility and has all the features you need. I've been using it for quite some time and am very happy with it...

+1 on Rainmeter. Been using it now a little over a year. Been happy with it. I only pick what I want to use rather than skin the whole desktop. That's what's nice about it.
