I downloaded Vipre Internet Security (trial) recently and was not impressed. It did not"hang" my system like yours, but seemed to effect resources.
It is very difficult to remove completely, even with Revo Unistaller. Leaves traces on your machine. You may google "Vipre removal" for more info. Does Vipre offer any satisfaction guarantee for a possible refund/compensation ? |

Does Vipre offer any satisfaction guarantee for a possible refund/compensation ? I have an uninstall utility they gave me through a chat session, so I should be able to remove it all. I think they have a guarantee. I will have to look into it. I know if I get a virus, they will work with me to remove it and fix my computer for free (or at least they used to have that clause). |

VIPRE causing Windows7 64-bit OS to hang
Temporary fix is easy - just disable Firewall Web filtering option until GFI will fix the problem and use Firefox with noscript to visit untrusted web sites.

Norton Internet Security 2012 My NIS 2011 (which I am very happy with) ends in a couple weeks. I already have the boxed retail 2012 ready to install but looking in the Norton Forums many seem to be having issues with 2012. Has anybody had any experience with NIS 2012 yet? |

Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 Well then, I finished installing KIS 2012, it hasn't been RTM'd I think just yet but so far it is a GREAT improvement from KIS 2011. In fact, I'm doing a full scan right now and I haven't even noticed that it was even running! My system is currently running at 2.8Ghz. The system requirements... |
