But, I'll definitely be nabbing some compressed air once I'm able 'ere, as well as looking into a new PSU- never actually replaced one before, it a fairly harmless or harrowing process?

Thinking I might go with this. Then again, I'll read into it; I'm again, rather inexperienced with power supply units. All the best you guys, the constant crashing was driving me insane.
It depends really...how your case is laid out...the brand of PSU (I am a big fan of Corsair)...making sure to get enough juice for your components and alot more

If anything the PSU is one component you don't want to skimp on...I wasn't wanting to build anything like a gaming rig with my desktop but I still got a 750 Corsair...it is fantastic

Oh yeah, I'm aware of the importance. I'm just terribly strapped for cash right now. XD Small incremental upgrades may be my only choice for the time being. But, I think you're right- I'll save up a bit and nab me a solid PSU, look into the Corsair brands offered if you think they're a reliable sort. Much appreciated for a point in the right direction.

Playing TF2 longer than 10 minutes was most enjoyable.

Oh yeah, that "Rep" theory. Round'o'Rep Justice.

Your comment was enough for me...the rep made it all better. Glad I helped!

I agree about the having plenty of PSU power, using a 1000 watt TT for a single GTX 280 at the moment LOL. Plenty of power there for me and my overclocking.

Glad the dusting out helped you Mr. Fist, I have to blow out my old ps2 from time to time or it just stops working. You were proabably just getting a bit too warm with the summer heat and poor ventilation. After all, this is the performance and "maintenance" section and you needed a bit of maintenance is all. I think I nailed this with the cleaning out the case advice.
