svchost.exe not found in task manager

I got a virus the other day and it infected the svchost.exe so it had to be quarantined. I downloaded some virus fixes and several scans shows that my computer is clean. But when I look in task manager, there's no svchost.exe running, not a one. Usually there's about 6 or more.

When I go in cmd and type tasklist /SVC, it shows that the svchost.exe are running, about 6 of them like normal. The computer seems to be working fine with no lags or weird things popping up, but I'm wondering if the virus might still be lingering around.

Thanks for the reply. I've tried doing those things mentioned in the other post but nothing has worked. Is it not showing up maybe because it is still in quarantine by Malwarebytes?

Not sure but leave the file that is quarantined.

If your scans are producing no further infection results and your machine is
working as required I wouldn't worry about it personally.

Check to see if after a period of time the underlying services using
svchost as a "shell" start to repopulate in Task Manager. It's a bit hard
to nail what services may actually attach themselves to an svchost process
by the look of it, so maybe as you use your machine over the next few weeks/ months / however long
you will start to see svchost appearing again as the background services using the exe
    are put to use.

Try to press on Show all processes from all users button. Does Svchost Process Viewer also don't show any svchost.exe?

    Hel975,

Okay now I see it. It's funny how it can be something as simple as that. At least now I know my system isn't still infected. Thanks! =]
