    How to enable EMS.

    Hello guys,

Im using windows 7 ultimate 64bit, my laptop is ASUS K53E.

Lately i've been having some troubles with my laptop, so i asked ASUS support to help me. The instructions i got from them were:
    1: Restart the unit
2: Start pressing F9 upon start up
3: Select EMS enabled and press Enter
4: It will say; Windows is loading files
5: Select Next on the Asus Preload wizard
6: Select “Recovery to the first partition only” and press Next and Finish
7: Click on OK to reboot the unit, once rebooted it will ask to setup the unit again

I've been trying to do that, but when I press F9 the only options i get are: WINDOWS 7 and MEMORY DIAGNOSTIC TOOL.

The question is: how do i enable EMS.

    Thanks for any help.

    Sincerely,
    ekskiuzmi

I have two partitions. One of them is for my system files and another for movies, music etc. I just did a clean installation of windows 7 and in my system partition i have installed nothing but windows and all the drivers.

    Sure.

When you got your computer it should have had 2 partitions on the HD (most consumer PC's do). One where the OS is (usually called "C") and another where the factory image (the OS when it left the factory) is

Well.. when i bought my computer there was absolutely nothing on it. I bought my own copy of windows 7, booted the CD and while using windows 7 setup i divided 600 unpartitioned gigabytes into two partitions. Thats it. Didnt delete anything.

If you installed Win 7 why do you have "enterprise" installed?

I didnt kno you could buy an Asus without an OS.

    Well, You can.

I feel we are getting a bit off topic here. Is there anyway way to enable EMS with current conditions or not?

Try pressing F9 then when windows 7 is highlighted press F8 that should give you more options.
