Windows 10 Pro. 64/ version 1709 Windows 7 Pro/64

Running two defrags at the same time really has to confuse things. The good news is Windows 7 doesn't seem to get fragmented like the older systems did.

Anyway, the point of this thread is finding out why Explorer is lagging on the OP's system. Seems a bit mysterious. Maybe the OP could post some figures as to disk free space etc..

Explorer SLOW on large folders
I'm finding Explorer to be extremely slow on large folders (containing 2,000+ files for example) Much slower than Vista and insanely slower than XP. It seems to REALLY be tryng hard to peek at every file and gleen info from them every time you open the folder instead of just populating the list...
