    How do I edit "edit"?

When I right click on a jpg file and select edit, I get Windows Photo Viewer. I'd like to change that to Photoshop. I know this can be done but I can't find the options like I could in file associations with xp. Any help?

    Thanks,
    Gil

That's close. What I want to do is this: If I double click on a jpg, I want it to open with Irfanview, but if I right click and select edit, I want Photoshop to edit it. I know I could do that with xp so I'm sure I can with 7 but I just can't find the right dialog.

I did that Doc. It allows me to select the program to OPEN the program with. I don't see where I can select a different program to EDIT the file. In xp, there was a dialog that showed what actions were available and what program to accomplish said action. Its gotta be here somewhere!

OK, I just searched for how to do this in Vista and discovered that this is something that was removed. Sort of a downgrade from xp I'd say! Anyway, I found a program called Creative Elements Power Tools that lets me edit the context menu and add actions such as Edit and associate it with Photoshop. It worked! All is well now. Thanks.

Yea, I think of all the nights I've stayed up WAY late trying to fix things that I broke. The good news is I don't break them so often anymore! :)

Just a note here. I just found a free program that does the same thing. Its called "default program editor".
