    Spraying it to PCI slot or the like is not advisable. You'd better do what Linnemeyerhere said, plug it in and off 2 or three times will do the most. (After cleaning the card's part of contact)

    Cotton buds are known as Q-tips for those wondering...My wife is Thai and she called them that, I was clueless what she meant until she showed me one.

    Sorry I did not answer you earlier before you used the cleaner seekermeister. If you want to clean contacts then next time just use an eraser to polish them up. Sometimes dust can build up in the MB slots that could cause some intermittent contacts so just use an acid brush with denatured alcohol. If you use a Q-tip then you might get some cotton lint stuck in there. We use acetone but there is also a chance that the acetone could leave a residue from the bristles of the brush that could make the contact worse.
