Windows 7 Computer not fully entering sleep

    Hello all,

I have been having an issue with my computer sleeping and hibernating lately. When I force the computer into sleep or hibernate (sleep and hibernate are not set to occur after a given time) the screen shuts off but that's it. The fans and lights stay on and i think the HDD is still running (don't have HDD indicator lights on my computer). This doesn't happen every time however. I believe it is a power settings issue because this happened once before. After some guess and check, once I set the hard disks to not shut off ever, the problem was fixed. I reformatted my computer and the problem is back (yes I tried the hard disks again). The only way to return the computer to working state is to force shut down the system. All of my drivers are up to date. I've attached a txt file containing the energy report. Thanks in advance to any reply!

Assuming that all of your device drivers are up-to-date, carefully read the info here:

It helped to solve my problem. - Hope it will help you out!
