    Cleaning Thumbnail Cache

I've always cleaned the Thumbnail Cache using CCleaner but after doing some reading I'm a little unclear as to the benefit.

As I understand it if I clean the TC, each time I open a folder it will need to rebuild the thumbnails. I believe this slows things down. Is there a benefit to not cleaning or does the cache keep growing and using up more space? Sorry I'm a bit unclear on this. Thanks

    Hello Bru,

You may want to clear the thumbnail cache if the Windows Explorer thumbnail pictures have become corrupted and not displaying properly, or the thumbnail cache file has become to large and you want to clear some hard disk space.

It's not something that you would need to do often, but more of a as needed deal. :)
