    Yes off course. recoveryenabled and recoverysequence values are deleted.
    They pointed to nothing anyway.

    S is just a small partition. It has the bootmenu and bootmanager. Don't know why it's a separate partition.
    D is for recovery to factory settings. Restore to factory settings still works? Don't do the actual restore off course!!!!

    What files are in D:\sources? Also show hidden and system files!

    No the only way to restore to factory settings was off the repair computer option. Which is what I actually trying to do. Backed up all me docs and want to restore to as new. Which when I done in past was through repair computer option on f8

    Will have to check on contents of sources when I get home. What I do know is that the program that opened up last time I restored to factory settings is located on d: in tgm if that's any help?

    repair option has now reappeared but after selecting comes up with;

    windows failed to start. a recent hardware of software change might be the cause. to fix the problem
    insert windows installation dicc
    select language
    click repair computer
