The main problem is, that when I F8, I cannot use the "Repair my Computer" option, it just loads windows..... like the person that originally started this thread....

There is only 1 winpe option in the bootmenu. You saw "windows loading files" so that at least starts.
But WHY.... do you want the factory defaults back???

If you do a "factory restore" you get the situation as it was when you bought it!! All personal files willt be gone! Do you have backups of them?

Why not do a clean install? As an extra bonus.... you don't get the bloatware then

I cannot fix that. I can only give you a perfectly working win7 default install. Why do you want the extra free stupid bloatware?

The office was more then likely just a trial version, unless you have a key to activate it.

A clean install is way better then a factory restore, but then you will have to hunt down a few drivers.

But the decision is ultimately yours, a factory restore will be much faster for you if you just aren`t in the mood :)

I'd love to, but my laptop will not run the "repair your computer" option nor will it let me use the Dell DataSafe Local Backup to reset it to factory.... it's grayed out.... even after I forked out the money to get the premium update of the Local Backup.....
