I think we have all moved away from the OP's question. The OP now probably has a very confused opinion (and a low one at that) of this Forum.
Your points past this are all excellently made and sum up the debate. But I take issue with why anyone would have a low opinion of these forums because we have a lively debate about what is needed to maintain Win7 best.

This very same debate has had a different active thread going almost since the beginning, during which time we have become the undisputed top tech forum on the web.

Varying opinions are to be expected when working against XPired methods which are ingrained over years' time. The fact that we've moved opinion on this markedly in three years time is what counts.

What about Glary Utilities? It has a registry cleaner included in its 1-Click-Maintenance. Glary seems to find more stuff than CCleaner. I don't know if that's a good thing or bad.
I tend to trust that the cream of the crop of freeware rises to the top here and I rarely hear much about Glary. Nothing bad, just no repeat recommendations as we see countless times for the best stuff.

CCleaner has never failed me and always gets rid of crap. Nothing needed. I stand by CCLeaners Reg Cleaner, personally.
