CPU usage causing i5 core 3 to spike after waking up from sleep...

So, my CPU usage (Intel i5) meter always reads just fine, usually around 5-10% during normal tasks. Well, after my computers been in sleep mode, and wakes up, it always shows that Core 3 is usually up around 50-60% and Core 1 around 20-30% or so... It never goes back down until a restart/shut down.

Also, I own Driver Reviver, which suggested like 9 new driver updates for me, and I still have the problem.

Any suggestions on what I should do about this? All help is appreciated... And please be patient with me, this is my first full PC build.

I had a problem like this and it was a bad version of the network driver. Can't remember what I had to do to resolve it, but to track it down I had to install driver level diagnostics.

But first off, does this show up int task manager as CPU usage for a specific process or is it kernel CPU being used. To see if it is kernel, start the task manager, go to the performance tab, and the view menua and select "show kernel times".

I... think... I may have fixed it by uninstalling my network driver and reinstalling.

Download procesexplorer: www.technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653 and take a look at the 'Interrupts'.
