    Increase USB Speeds ?

Is it possible to increase USB 2.0 transfer speeds with a USB 3.0 device ?

If your computer supports USB 3.0 is should already run it. Simply adding a usb 3.0 device to a computer than can only run at USB 2.0 speed is useless IMHO.

You need USB 3.0 ports on your computer along with a USB 3.0 cable and USB 3.0 device to get USB 3.0 speeds. You follow?

Of course I get it, I thought there was a way to get a minor increase.

USB2.0 devices are maxed out to operate at the specific theoretical speed limit(although they run at a slower speed) and they cannot get past that limitation with or without any 'tweaks' whatsoever.

You could install a USB 3.0 expansion card.
