How to disable some apps on secondary user account.

Hello Guys,

I'm a VFX professional, so Apps I use need large amount of free memory and CPU. But also I use to be online for much time. I use AVG Internet Security. But it takes a larger amount of Memory and CPU. I don't use Internet while working, so I don't need Antivirus security while working. I created 2 Use Accounts one for my work and another one for online browsing. Tried to disable AVG protection on my work account. But it didn't work because AVG don't have single user installation option. Also tried to disable AVG on start up but it applied for the both accounts. I don't want to switch to any other Antivirus because I'm pretty much satisfied with AVG and using AVG from more than 4yrs.

So can any one tell me "Is there any way to disable Apps on Secondary Accounts?".

Also tell me some other tips I can apply on my Work account for better performance.

I would uninstall the AVG bloatware and install lean free recommended Microsoft Security Essentials.

Keep your Win7 Firewall updated by setting updates to Automatic and installing all optional Updates.

Thanks for your reply. Actually what I like most in AVG is it's resident shield Service. Is this option also available in MS Essentials? Are you sure MSE is also secure as AVG? I really hate viruses that's why I don't want to take any risks.

No one here recommends AVG which is considered buggy bloatware. It hasn't been a favorite of tech enthusiasts for years, since it bloated up and never slimmed back down.

Almost everyone here recommends MSE.
