You have only 2GB, upgrade your ram first?

In my experience, 64 bit doesn't play nice with low amounts of ram. Ever since I switched my laptop that only has 2gb of ram to 32 bit Windows 7 from 64 bit, things have been a bit more responsive and the ram usage was cut in half. I'm using 32% of my ram and I have Widnows Live Essentials installing along with me typing this in Internet Explorer 9. Anyway, try going to start and typing msconfig and pressing enter. Wheb msconfig opens, go to the startup tab and disable everything except your antivirus.

    Hello Manish,

I would listen to Windude. 2GB Ram is enough for 32 Bit Windows to run well but it's a little low for 64 Bit. I would consider either installing 32 Bit or upgrading your Ram.

I have 7 Pro 64 Bit and 4 GB Ram installed and if I run a lot of programs it can go up to 75 %.

Follow Windude's advice on disabling some startup items first.
