For me WinRAR and 7-zip seem equally slow on my W7x64 pro system. Both first compress to some intermediate directory and then copy to the real dir. This last copy takes ages for even small archives... any ideas anyone? Could it be TeaTimer?

strangely enough, for me it was my videocard driver that was causing me problems. This past week I also installed a new hard drive with new cables. This are even running more smoothly now. Copying files was always my biggest complaint, but now it seems to be better.
