windows ie causing computer to start slowly

hey guys. is this just internet explorer starting as soon as i turn on the computer? If so, i need to delay it til i decide to go to the internet.

How? i went to windows defender and i can't get it figured out. i don't see the option.

Also i am getting error 101 boot performance monitoring. Is this related?

thanx in advance. You guys rock!

also, i just checked in the event viewer, and i have 4 critical error 351- stand by performance monitoring. not sure if its related. I just want some direction on how to get these errors to stop popping up and have my computer running properly and to its fullest capacity
    thanks again

this may help you out..... as if you will change the startup programs then the explorer will not be opened up as soon as you start your computer and hence boosting your speed also

IE should not start up normally, have you messed with your options or installed a program recently?
