dell inspiron notebook (where ia model number)
windows 7 home premium
service pack 1
mobilty center works with balanced/power saver/high performance battery options
advanced power options - nothing
Could it be a Dell Utility that is causing the difference in Power Options?
You could start Windows in Safe Mode and see if Power Options is listed in Control Panel.
I use to be able to access power options then recently I found I could no longer do this. will try safe mode.
when I click "advanced power options" in control panel or "more power options" in the battery task bar nothing happens. also powercfg.exe doesn't appear to be working. could this be related to 64bit operating system?
