I try not to pay too much attention to the WEI, and certainly not as a troubleshooting tool. The main objective is, are you satisfied with the performance of your machine?? If you are, then dont get hung up on a number ... its just a marketing ploy IMO.. Good Luck!

I know LOL - but it's irritating because no matter what I try it stays on 5.5! Stupid WEI a.k.a. Achievements for Windows 7...

    Thanks mate.

I'd be annoyed as well in all honesty but as already said, its just a number. :)

    I have 2x2gb DDR2 800Mhz RAM and winsat gives me 4255.87 MB/s

As for the 'Achievements for Windows 7' thing, I can only say this; Bleep Bloop

LOL. Thanks guys. Anyways I figure its my motherboard - has trouble with 2 gb DDR2 800 sticks - but hey like you guys said it's better to have fast RAM than mixed slow RAM.

    Thanks.

Thanks mate. Guess I was stressed for nothing. I may look to upgrade my board now. But in the meantime I am pretty content.

Just another thought, when you re-ran the WEI, did you force a rerun through the advanced tools?

With 4GB of pc2 9600 1200MHz memory I get a 7.5 for the memory speed. So using faster memory does make the score go higher.
