then just keep Speccy and the page where you fill in the specs open at the same time and rely upon the gray matter.

If the gray cells are failing, then you can:
SPECCY | File | Save as text file | Save button

Open the resulting .TXT file and copy and paste from there.

You must have a magic program! I have SAVE only. and the choice is NFO (or something like that; closed it) and nothing else. Can't SAVE AS txt.

Yes. I have a magic program.

The name of the program is SPECCY

The link for SPECCY is in my signature.

    Download, install, and run Speccy.

Speccy will take a few seconds to gather info.

AFter the info is gathered, then:
choose FILE in the top menu bar of SPECCY
    Choose Save as Text file
SPECCY will present a dialog where a default name and location has already been selected.
On that same dialog is a button with the word SAVE on the button.
    Push that button.
The default location is your Documents folder.

This is something that literally thousands have done. I'm sure you can do the same.

I installed it the day you gave the link. Under File, I have only: Open, close, save, export, print, exit

I may be slow physically but not mentally!

then uninstall, redownload using the link in my signature.

Although more likely is that you are not looking at the Speccy menubar.

I am not on my netbook, am on the iPad but will do that tomorrow. My menubar is not like that; it lists what I typed. I installed a free version. But, our menu bars differ and I cannot copy or paste.

You are the informed one with this program. Why does my install differ?

    You have a magic program!

Well PinkiPad, I have no earthly idea what you have done.

I have and use the free version.

Incidentally, literally tens of thousands have printed out their results with no problems.

Ok, so back to my issue. It seems I need more ram. I believe I have one slot from memory and cannot just add to what I have. What do y' all recommend as far as type? I will go to 4gb or even 8gb if the price is right. I am tired of everything freezing on me and waiting for them to defrost.

Intel® Atom According to Intel, this processor only supports up to 2gigs of RAM. Also, it's only a single core processor. This type of behavior is common for a product of this level. You will not get the same type of performance typical of a general desktop. Please follow the https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html I know you are not having blue screen issues, but the information it will provide us will be helpful.

The other recommendation that I have is this Clean Up Factory Bloatware

In the Start Search type msconfig, tap Enter and open the Start up tab. Uncheck everything except security software and reboot and see if that helps. A netbook with an Atom CPU is meant only for very basic surfing, email, and not too much else, certainly not games beyond Solitaire. some 3rd party browsers use a lot of resources as well.

Until we see what's going on in the background we are shooting in the dark.
