    slow opening folders and files

when I open folders and files the system have a lag (0,5 - 1 second) this happens in my two HD and in any file and folder (has many or no file)

    I try:
    - Disable index
    - cleanup HD
    - disable effects
    - disable kaspersky
    - change folders options
    - check disk
    - defrag disk

This is more than a shot in the dark.

    Disable WinRAR shell integration.

Failing that, use ShellExView to locate other candidates.

    What?

The tool is most useful TO disable items.

    Allow me to start fresh.

A common cause of the slowdown that you describe is a poorly implemented context menu handler. Yes, I know you are not activating the context menu to get the problem.

Do you have WinRAR - a widely distributed program and known cause of this type of problem, especially when attempting to use the 64-bit version.

Your willingness to delete registry entries manually may be a reasonable indication of what is wrong with your system.

A more prudent approach might be to uninstall programs which you think may be causing the problem.

You haven't provided enough detail for me to of much more help.
