Could you please provide more information about your system?

Is it a laptop or desktop?
From your system specs it shows you are running 64bit. go to Start -> Right Click on Computer -> Properties. Under System type it will tell you if 64 bit.

This could also be set in your systems BIOS settings. OR there is only so much the motherboard can handle.

What is your motherboard make model?

Your Radeon IGP is probably reserving that ~512mb for itself as VRAM. You can set it lower in the BIOS, probably down to 256 or 128.

Even though it is a 512mb for the VRAM, it shouldn't be taking a full GB away from usable RAM.

Ahhhh I read "2Gb" from the first post and didn't see the "added 1Gb", woops. But my point still stands. Before you installed the 1Gb stick, how much RAM did you have available back then?

Less than 4.0 GB RAM usable?
It's funny, because ALL of my RAM was usable some time ago. (I have no idea how long ago this was, but it was on the same OS) I am using Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. I know about the whole 32-bit issue where some say you can't use much more than 3GB. Well, I WAS. I wouldn't be writing this...

RAM 6.0 GB (1.95 GB Usable) WTF?!
What's this all about? Last time I checked system properties it said 5.5 GB usable. Now, today I noticed that my sidebar said that my memory is 40% in use and there's only 1.5 GB available. What's going on here? I was thinking it could be my video card taking the memory, but I didn't change any...
