Yes, windows defender is a dedicated anty-spyware , but sometimes it is said that it is not very efficient, as Windows Defender Offline or Microsoft Security Essentials are.
I would say that you dont disable it. Avast will not come with a performance clash with Windows Defender at all, as their target areas are different.
What I am really eager to know that if changing your AV program fixes the issue for you.
I have it disabled, but I have Malwarebytes and Superantispyware real time protection as well. Arc is right (again ) Avast will not conflict with Defender. A Guy
