I have both, try clicking show processes from all users, MsMpEng.exe was using a lot more resources than msseces.exe.

Ok, saw it. Tried setting priority of both to Low and didn't change a thing for my problem.

OK, just trying to keep you from having to disable real time protection.

This is interesting, since MSE is highly recommended and used. I don't have your same problems using MSE, hopefully this can resolved.

Just a thought. Have you got more than one AV running?

Haven't disabled it yet but I'm plagued with the icon issue.

Yeah, I hope we get a fix here. Hmmm, that's weird, why don't you experience the same problem as I do? We have both MSE.

Good question, I can only guess there are other factors involved, if it were happening to everyone that used MSE it would more widely documented.

Yeah, I'm glad though that it's not an isolated case for me. I hope you guys can help me here because as much as possible I don't want to stay away from MSE, it has been very good to me until now.

I guess the question then is what else do you have running?

I am thinking ... if it would be possible to see the situation physically.

Can you upload a video ? Or TeamViewer may be a way out.
