I notice less HDD space after defragmentation, help?

Thanks for taking the time to read this

Some info that might be of importance:
    1. 232GB HDD with Bitlocker active

I ran the Auslogics disk defragmentation software and chose the "defrag and optimize" option. I started out with 190GB free of a 252GB HDD, when the defrag competed I had 183GB left

I searched this forum a bit and followed the directions to perform a "disk cleanup" and "clean up system files". I performed both succesfully but to no avail.

    1. Is it possible that my OS will catch up and maybe sort the issue out?
    2. Any other recommendations?

    PROBLEM SOLVED!

I searched this forum some more and it was recomended to run Ccleaner and check the restore points. I had only one restore point and when I deleted it I now have 191GB free of 232, looks like I gained a GB

I can't be sure but I believe the issue might have been that the max allowed space for restore points was something near 7 - 9 GB, I erased the restore point and then set the maximum to the 1% (the lowest it can go at 2.33GB) and then created a restore point and still was able to keep my 191GB.
