I don't know whether to close the thread or continue. The driver I installed started to give trouble so I downloaded the latest version of Atheros Bluetooth driver 3011 + HS from HP and alas! I am back to square one.i.e, report generation period timed out and no report in data collector sets. So I think basically the Atheros driver is blocking the report generation and I will have to be satisfied with What I get. Anyway I will keep the thread open so that someday I may get a solution. Thank u friend.

Here is what you can try ....

Since you are able to generate a report when BT driver is not installed.... then lets do it another way....

First completely remove the bluetooth suite.

then download the latest driver from HP... and use 7zip to extract the files to a folder...

Go back to the device manager and right click the bluetooth device or unknow device if you uninstalled it and choose the update option... then select this directory as the driver folder... Windows will automatically install the driver without the whole suite...

Once this is done....reboot and go back to Prefmon .... and see if it works.

I have downloaded and installed the latest version Atheros AR3011 Bluetooth driver version7.4.0.102.

I uninstalled the above driver and updated the driver software from Device Manager which showed Generic Bluetooth driver. After updating the adapter AR3011 was installed but immediately showed that windows has disabled this device, as it reported problems.

Perfmon report generated after this is attached.

The version 7.2 does not contain a separate driver folder after unzipping, whereas the version 7.4 contains a driverfolder. The Version 7.4 was automatically downloaded using the HP Support Assistant Utility. After many uninstall, reinstall and restatrts, once I succeeded to get the driver installed via Device Manager, but it was not stable; it disappeared after the laptop got off sleep. The driver returned to disabled state and could not be revived. So without the suite the bluetooth will not function smoothly.

I have something to show. The report.xml file created in the Folder of data collector sets could not be opened due to error viz., XML page cannot be displayed.

Perfmon.exe /report not generating after installing bluetooth driver-capture.png
I think this prevents the report generation.
