How to turn off search indexer?
Hello,
This file
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows\Windows.edb
is constantly growing up. I assume it contains updated search index of all files.
I'd like to turn it's updating completely off to spare some resources.
I can locate a Windows Search service which is set autostart but I think disabling this service will result in disabling searching within start menu and control panels (which I don't intent).
Is there a way to disable permanent indexing of my hard drive while keeping the start menu search available? Thanks in advance
