Event log for SFC check with results

I'm attempting to try to confirm SFC scans after the fact. I was hoping in Windows 7 someone could describe to me if there is some event log that is created once an SFC scan has been started and completed. Additionally, and more importantly, can I find the response from the scan in this location or another location (guessing a hex response) such as no integrity issues found, integrity issues found and fixed, or integrity issues found and were unable to be repaired.

Just in the short time I've researched this I was able to find an event created in the Event Viewer (Windows Logs > System > Service Control Manager) with "The Windows Modules Installer service entered the running state." event as well as another later after the scan with "The Windows Modules Installer service entered the stopped state." The system I'm using intentionally has errors found when SFC finishes its scan. I was unable to find the errors logged anywhere.

Alternately, can I quickly parse the CBS.log in order to find out what response the program gives at the end of the scan?

Any and all help related to this problem would be helpful. Thanks!

Hello Omegaman, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You can use OPTION THREE in the tutorial below to generate a sfcdetails.txt file on your desktop that will have all of the sfc scan results and timestamp in it. :)

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
