Power/sleep button, closing panel options greyed out

    Hi,

I am new to windows 7 and i would like to change these settings:

ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting

    I don't get why it's greyed out.

I have a samsung series 9. I have seen something about fast start, but I don't have that application. I removed all the bloatware from my pc.

Making a new plan won't fix this problem either.

I also can't get hibernate to work. It doesn't appear in the start menu.

    Greets,

    Hi

Since you have removed Fast start

    lets try other way

    Click start > run

    type cmd.exe

    Then type "powercfg -restoredefaultschemes"

    and then reboot your system...

Let me know if this works

    Well Remco

In that case the only way to remove it now is to use Fast Start and disable.....

You would either need to install the Samsung control center back in and disable the Fast Start setting and then remove the software completely via revo uninstaller or iobituninstaller........

Or you could try via regedit... but be careful when you take this route

    Hi,

I have done what you said, installed the fast start application and disabled it and removed it with revo uninstaller.

It is accessible Thank you very much The hibernate function is also there.
