Per my quote, when the CPU is moderately tasked (e.g. playing flash/shockwave based browser games or facebook game apps where only 1 core/thread is being used) 65 oC is normal. My netbook with Celeron 877 @ 1.4 GHz (2 cores, w/out HT) and HD 2000 graphics reaches 65 - 70 C max when playing flash/facebook browser games. When converting videos or stress testing (all cores at 100% CPU), it reaches 80 - 83 C max. My motherboard temps according to speccy has not yet gone above 68 C at full load.
58 C at idle is maybe due to hot ambient temperatures (30 C or above) in the Philippines. In Southern California near LA, during summer my room temp is about 70 F or 21 C and my netbook idles at 40-50 C.
Thanks for the info. Nice to know that my laptop isn't in trouble.
My CPU is at 90C when Idle!!
I can't and I don't want to think how much it goes when gaming!
And Motherboard the same!
Help! I know that removing the battery when you use the cable is a good solution, but it didnt work!
Now i am gonna buy a cooling pad.
And some compressed air to blow the dust from the fans and I will post back.
Please add your own ideas.
Everything was fine 55-60C when idle and 65-70 when gaming with games like BF3, but from the time I bought and played ArmA 3 Beta from steam, it has had these temperatures (90C both motherboard and CPU) FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKK THAT GAME. IT'S POOR OPTIMIZATION IS THE PROBLEM THAT FAKED MY Laptop. CanYouRunIt says i CAN play the game. Please ideas. See ya.
