Computer all of a Sudden slow and Choppy

Clear out your Programs list of anything that looks suspicious, or ask back.

Disable all add-ons except FlashPlayer's most recent update and any others that you now for certain you use because you installed them when prompted to achieve a task.

Look in your Search list to see if any spyware has snuck in, remove everything but Google.

Uninstall your AV, install Microsoft Security Essentials, free Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware.com - Downloads, run a full scan. SuperAntiSpyware.

another strange thing, when I watch video on youtube I would let the video pause and load the entire video now it doesn't do that and is constantly choppy. Only loads a portion of the video. My internet connection is over 30Down so it isn't a matter of connection speed.

Still following the steps it takes a while.

When did this start? Can you remember any changes that were made. Are you sure you're running an absolutely Clean Boot with only AV running, in both places in msconfig?

I only use Firefox. I have a 64BIT machine. All of a sudden, EVERYTHING is choppy, everything. Video, forget it, typing is a chore. Just the entire system all of a sudden is glitchy.

Im about to do another clean install and be done with it, not happy about it but what choice do I have, anyone here can sign on my computer and help???

Doing super anti-spyware now, hopefully it sees something but I have never had my computer act like this.

Once I reset it I can watch video for 4-5 mins before ot gets glitchy again. IDK the issue it is above my head and I am trying everything. Anyone please?

Superantispyware found a false positive. That is it. Gotta keep searching, onto step 4.

It also found a Vundo variant, which may be even more serious.

I would post it up in our Security forum as it may require more serious cleanup. For now run Malwarebytes, MSE and SAS full scan.

Even if it cleans up you'lll need to check for system file damage running SFC -SCANNOW Command and may ultimately need to Clean Reinstall.

I also noted repeat ati failure errors in Admin log which may correspond to the hangs you're having. If the cleanup doesn't resolve these then that should be the next focus, googing the error text and number to find how others have resolved this. This was step 4 in the Troubleshooting tutorial I linked you yesterday.

Hello, sorry to bring back an old thread but this is my exact problem, except my problems are usually solved just by putting it to sleep for a few minutes, I know it's not my graphics card as I've tried with 2 different graphics card. I originally thought it was the heatsink not seated properly because my temperature spiked up to 60 degrees at idle one day, but it hasn't gone up since and I just can't seem to think of how they could be related. Also I haven't really found the time to buy new thermal paste to reseat it. I only built it a few months ago.
Any help would be great, thank you!

Oh and it's not the Hard drive either as I replaced it for an SSD but the same problem still occurs.

I had that issue a while ago, it was due to a memory leak.

The computer would go to sleep and the particular program that was leaking (buggy video encoding software) would stop, but as soon as I started the computer I would watch the memory usage go up until there was barely any left.

Also, please post some system specifications, it can be difficult to diagnose issues like these without knowing what hardware you are using.
