Help: Screen Goes Black After Log On

After I type in my password and log onto windows, the screen hangs black, no explorer, no desktop, just a movable mouse. The laptop starts up fine and dandy, in fact it gets to my logon screen faster than my macbook pro does. the only way to get out of this black screen is to wait about 2 minutes even control alt delete doesnt do anything, well it does, but it just does the normal thing and brings task manager to a jet black screen.

    Hello BriniaSona

I had exactly the same Problem two weeks ago.
    Just follow these steps below

1.Open Task Manager (on Black Screen)
    2.Make a new Task
    3.Enter this ”C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe” “http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?GRAB=BLACKSCREENFIX” and click OK.

This should fix your issue =)

    Cheers

sorry for the late reply. I finally got around to trying this, as i was typing it in everything came back, but the screen still goes black for about 2 minutes after i log on. MAybe something is causing a major delay. I really dont ewant to have to resort to wiping my hard drive as I would have no idea where to get all the drivers needed to make my trackpad, fn keys, and all my stuff work properly again, not to mention 120 gigs of steam games.
