system repairs starts after every time at startup

    Hello,
Running on windows home basic x 64( which came along with sony vaio e-sereis). antivirus- Norton. The problem actually started when i downloaded i tunes and icloud and synced with outlook, and downloaded a software to convert wmv to iphone videos.( no idea is it the exact reason). every time i start computer it goes to system repair , takes nearly 10 to 15 mins time and then starts with restoring system at somepoint. It restores after deleting only icloud not itunes. after restore i didn't download the video conversion software( thought it may b reason). still it didn't work. Is the icloud reason for it? it deletes all my antivirus updates, after every start up antivirus shows system in risk and downloads nearly 90mb updates every start up. plz help me

    Hi,
    You can try few things:
    1) Just update your anti-virus program on the computer and check if it works fine.
    2) If that works then install Icloud, before you do that ensure that system restore point is created.

I would System Restore to a point before the problem arose then reinstall the programs again after replacing Norton with Microsoft Security Essentials and running a Clean Boot as suggested by Kaktussoft which is further explained in Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7.
