If you are satisfied with the performance of your computer, then forget the WEI.. Its only real value is for showing your friends... enjoy what you have...

Kinda odd it shows better value for Gaming graphics than Aero...

Try updating your graphics drivers and see if it helps (if you haven't). Otherwise, like John12 said, if your happy, hey no need to worry (I think...). All the rest of the scores are truly pretty good!

Sometimes the WEI can be incorrect, as I've found on at least 2 systems.
Post your system specs to make sure tho...

It's odd that there's such a difference between aero graphics and gaming graphics. What video card are you using and how much memory does it have? Post your system specs.

    Hello John,

The only way to truly improve your WEI score is to use the latest device drivers that may help improve the device's performance, or replace your older hardware with newer and faster hardware.

    Hope this helps some,
    Shawn

Not too odd. Aero is processed in the GPU. Gaming graphics are not - yet.

I would not worry about it. As in most cases, it is the graphics that is the weakest link. But if you are not a gamer, it does not really matter. I have a similar picture. And Btw: the WEI really means very little in real life.

Well, we need to hear back from the OP to see if he's experiencing poor performance or if he's only looking at the numbers. In my experience the "desktop performance for aero" score reflects the responsiveness of the GUI. When I upgraded my video card I saw both an increase in this score and an improvement in opening/resizing/moving windows on the desktop, so I would not say it doesn't matter in real life. With a score of 3.8 for aero graphics I would have assumed the video adapter is on the motherboard, but the 4.9 for gaming graphics makes me wonder. I am still interested to know what his hardware specs are.

Victek, My 3.8 is from an ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO, not on-board. On another system I replaced a Nvidea 6150 on-board with a 9600GT but did not see any of the GUI performance improvement that you quote although my WEI went up from some 2.4 to 4.9.
