    permission issues for some fles and folders after formatting


    Iam being shown that you dont have enought permission to acces files or you need admin previlages ..in fact iam admin . having this isse since i formatted my C(windows partition)
    to backup them i copied them tod drive . after clean install all those files i have copied are of no use they show i dont have permision or admin previlages please help terribly annoyed. i have tried each and every fix that helped for others ,dint work for me

    What did you try? It's pointless for us to tell you to do things you've already done?

    Like .... did you try to take ownership of the folders and files?

    See this article on how to do this. Download and run the .reg file and a Take Ownership selection is added to the right click context menu. Very nice:

    Yes I trid to take ownership but still doesnt work


    It dint work . Moreover i have found that all these files which are not opening are encrypted some how i dont know how did they got encrypted

    If they are encrypted and you don't have the key then that are lost forever.

    They are not even asking me key ? they would ask me password i would type?

    What is the EXACT message you get when you try to access any of these files or folders?
