Does the size have anything to with it as I only have 8gb the system is still incredibly fast so I don't care much.
    Nar not really.

It will just be because you have an AMD CPU, usually with AMD cpus the memory scores are lower. Nothing to worry about, just normal.

OOPS! Sorry I didn't notice you have AMD. That I think is quite a good score for your system. The winsat mem score is fairly sensitive to the CAS Latency too, the 1st number in the timings.

cool i figured it was platform independent and like I said doesn't matter to me, I see a huge real world difference compared to my old pny 1333 kit.

Is this long enough of a memtest for RAM?
Two days, 6 hours, 26 minutes, 14 full passes.

Now switch dimm slots and run it again to be sure

The AMD's memory controller operates best with 8 or less megs of RAM. My 8350/990fx seems more responsive to CAS Latency than the Mhz settings when looking at bench scores.

Also with only two slots populated I have read. AMD still has issues with 4 populated DIMM slots.

My Ram runs a bit better with the new CPU. With my 3770K it would score around 31000.

Interestingly this score is with the Ram running at 2133MHz, if I run it at it's native 2400Mhz the score is much lower at around 28000. Can't really get my head round that, I guess the CPU memory controller doesn't like 2400Mhz.

I will stick with a 2133MHz speed now anyway as it runs very well.

What does maxxmem give you Paul? That's an unreal score, I think you take the overall lead with it.

Have you tried it at 2600 or 2666?
