I remember your post about that, so 2133MHz (ish) is the max for an i5 3570K IMC?
According to GSkill it's iffy. One may get a 3570 capable of 2400MHz with no sweat while a particular 3770 may not run over 213MHz. It's really down to the binning one gets on the CPU.
Ones near the center of the wafer they come from are the best and become better i7's. Farther towards the edge you get i5's and i3's, all from the same wafer. They can fuse parts of the "lower grade" chips so they conform to their specs.

The chips on a DIMM are similar, which is why a large matched 2 piece set is more expensive than two sets of a smaller amount but equal the total of the two piece set.

Good to see you again Patrick!
I would expect more of the Trident RAM too. Some CPU's memory controllers are better than others, that may be the problem. I have a bud with an i5-3570K who can't get 2200.

    Thanks Gary :)

It could be the IMC - I've had dram at 1.75, vccsa and vccioo @ 1.25, loose timings etc, and still nothing.

It's still quick and now I've got 16Gb for my VMs, but I'm annoyed I could have saved some cash for a 2400mhz kit.

    EDIT:

Well, if I can't go higher - I can go tighter. Let the tweaking begin

Heck, I'd pee my pants if I got a score that high mate, good job.
So far the only difference I found from extensive research with "faster" RAM is program will open a bit faster. Others may have different experiences though.

You don't need that score to post Bill.
