    So the bad news is one of my 4 sticks of Trident X has gone bad.

    The good news is, 8GB is running just great in the new board, stock timings and speed.

    Nice 1 Paul That Trident ram is proper fast enit.

    @ Gary, thanks mate.

    @ theveterans, Ivy bridge cannot run in quad channel, just dual channel.

    @ Kelly and Ryan, with the new board it's scoring higher with 8GB than it was with 16GB on the old board, I will need to RMA the other 8GB before I can tell you how 16GB runs, but I am pleased with the results so far:)

    Thats a bonus from the start then aye :) I just wondered if more gigabyte's would equal more bandwidth or weather the speed of the ram was the deciding factor. We'll have to wait and see
