Too bad this board and chip are coming back out as soon as I get my Sabertooth returned, Intel has already shipped my new i7, that will be here Monday

It seems as though the Sabertooth meltdown has also taken down 1 of my Corsair 8 GB sticks too

    I *think* 4GB at 1600 will get a 7.9 WEI score.
    I doubt that :)

Mine never hit 7.9 until I ran it at 1866.

    I did say *think*.

It also has a lot to do with the memory controller too. It seem Intel's on-CPU IMC (Internal Memory Controller) can get better scores than AMD with the same RAM.

My experience is unless you overclock the ram to 1866, you won't get a 7.9. 7.9 seems to be reserved for 1866 and higher. I think I have run every speed of ram they make between 1333 and 2400, and 1866 is the magic number, it seems to me.

I suspect quad channel ram might score 7.9 @ 1600MHz.

I will try it out tomorrow.
