    Where's my Dump File

I don't seem to have a dump file. Is it necessary? Can someone help me try and locate it or install a new one? Thanks

    Hi,

Do you mean a .dmp file, created after a system has crashed? Have a look in C:\Windows\Minidump

Read this: Dump File - Change Default Location

How do you have the Pagefile configured?
I think a small dump requires at least 200 MB, and the full dump requires 1GB for the Pagefile.

Also, the file may be a hidden file, and it's there but you can't see it.
I'm configured to see ALL files, but i don't have any dump files to verify the settings and seeing it...

The dump file may also be an Admin file and you can't see it from a Standard account.
How do you log in - as Admin or Standard (Limited) user?

    edit:
Also, if you run any file clean up such as Ccleaner that might have deleted the dump file(s).

I don't have one either, they get created after a system crash.

If you have had a crash they will get created at C:\Windows\Minidump as Golden posted.

If you have had a crash and aren't seeing them, you may need to configure windows to create them.
