bad sectors in hard disk, WHAT TO DO

    Yes, you can partition during install. There are a few ways, try this:

    Partition the Hard Drive in a Windows 7 Install

    I recommend 100GB for System Reserved + System partition, the rest for Data partition.

    the way u suggested for partition is for the harddisk which has w7 installed alreday, in my case my harddisk is new and i am going to install to new w7 , can i make a pratition before starting installing the w7

    New hard drives are not formatted from the factory.

    You won't need to format the Windows partition. It will be done automatically during the Windows installation.

    You will need to format any other partitions you may have, but you can do that with Windows Disk Management after you install Windows to C.
