I have updated drivers & have updated BIOS.

    Boot order in BIOS
    SATA CD: TSSTcorp CDDVDW SN-208BB
    SATA HDD: SAMSUNG HN-M500MBB
    USB CD
    USB FDD
    USB HDD
    NETWORK

Also in Disk Mgt, for my HD there is no option for MBR or GPT , you can check in the snap http://oi46.tinypic.com/detf90.jpg

That means it is an MBR disk which is what I was looking for. I don't think UEFI is at issue here.

When you feel you've exhausted all of the steps given then I would proceed with the trace to get a definitive cause. Upload the results file to a server like Skydrive (free with each WIndows Live ID) and link it in the tutorial comments section to get expert analysis from the top expert in the field and author of the trace. Carl is cleaning up from the storm in NY so may take a few days to get back to you.

I would also consider doing a trace which almost always will determine with certainty which is causing these boot delays: Gathering a Startup, Shutdown, Sleep, Hibernate, or Reboot Trace - Windows 7 Forums

I have posted my boot trace file in the forum which you gave me.
Hope someone might help me in finding out the right solution.

    Thanks for your help

Jaguar85: please provide a Speccy report -> use PUBLISH from the file menu and post the link you're given

Please also provide a snapshot of an expanded Display Adapters in Device Manager

For both the Nvidia and the Intel - uninstall, remove all software if prompted

reboot, do NOT install any drivers
Yes, your screen will be the default 800x600
work in that mode until a solution is reached - sorry, I know.....

I want to see what inf files are around before you run any updates.
There is only one graphics adapter on your machine, but it thinks there are two.

edit: according to essenbe, some Samsung models do have two controllers. hmm, imagine that.

I'll look at the Speccy report once you post the link

and it would help a lot if your system specs were filled in - use the easy system spec link in my sig so you don't have to type all of the information. Please make sure the make and model are correct - thanks

I realize the focus of the thread has gone in a specific direction, but I've just come upon it (via the 'More Help' thread) and I'm a little curious about the first few posts. So...

Please give me solution for my problem as my laptop take 5-6 minutes for booting & later application freezes for 1 minute.

Windows 7 Home Premium - service pack 1 (7 month old laptop)
Out of the 7 months you've had it, how long have you had this issue?

Had samsung recovery solution & samsung software update programs which used to come up after startup. surprisingly there was no option for this 2 programs in msconfig, startup section and used to come up after every startup. So I uninstalled it later.
These are often set up to run after boot via Scheduled Tasks. Often considered bloatware anyway.

all junk files & temp file cleared using Ccleaner & Glary utilities, also disk is fragmented using Diskeeper 2011
NO virus, malware, spyware present as I have checked my PC with Norton 360, webroot secure anywhere & SpyBot search & destroy
After checking for virus I have un-installed all antivirus, right now I don't have any anti-virus so there is no point that antivirus is increasing boot time.
That's quite a collection, some of which I wouldn't use with w7. After uninstall, did you also run the removal tool that's often provided by the makers (ie, Norton Removal Tool). Make sure SpyBot's TeaTimer was also removed. SpyBot also adds a slew of entries into the HOSTS file; you might consider removing them as I've heard this has an impact (not really sure how much though as it's been years since I've used it, and when removing from other machines there's typically a lot more stuff that's getting removed along with it -- you can always make a copy of it first in case you want to restore, it works the same whether SpyBot is installed or not).

I'll take your assumption that you're malware free, but just because you had the above programs does not guarantee it.

If this problems is fairly recent, you may be able to roll back your computer to a date/time prior to the first startup issue by using a system restore point.

    System Restore

See if there are any damaged or corrupt system files by running a system file checker scan from an elevated command prompt (option two.) If problems are found, run the scan 3 times and reboot the computer after each scan.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Another possibility is application conflicts at startup. Perform a clean boot (aka clean startup.)

Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup

If none of the above helps you may want to go through these troubleshooting guides for startup issues and general troubleshooting issues. They are time consuming but have helped isolate problems for many people.

Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot

    Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7
I'm aware you've done some of the above. Did you consider the system restore or do the sfc /scannow?

I would immediately test your RAM and HD, establish a Clean Boot, scan the logs for repeat errors, and utilize System Resources to find problems in Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7.
Everything depends on RAM. It's a worthwhile test.

Is there a Samsung program onboard that allows you to change between the two graphics controllers? Check all of them in All Programs.

This reminds me that with the sketchy tools and methods you reported using, I would strongly consider making your Recovery Disks in order to wipe the HD with Diskpart Clean Command to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. This is always a vastly superior install to the corrupting factory preinstall with it's larded on Bloatware and useless duplicate utiltiies. We specialize in helping with these here so will have your back every step of the way.

Greg: I don't think there are two controllers. essenbe has a desktop or a tower.

The Speccy report will tell - the Samsung site / manual is no help. They list all the mfrs & models they put in any machine. Without detailed information, I'm just whistlin'

After F5ing and your posts, my trying to determine what the machine has in it,
I think the best thing for jaguar85 is to go clean.

Hey F5ing, the problem is from last 40-50 days.
And regarding antivirus, I have installed it later to check whether I had virus or any malware.
I have done sfc/scan and it couldn't find any corrupt file.
I haven't done Restore as my Restore point is quite old.
