    Oh no! my desktops missing!

First of all Sorry if this is not the correct place to be posting this but I could not find a "help" section or anything and assumed this was the best place.

Ok so I turned on my computer today and realized that all of my desktop items are missing everything works fine does feel a little slower though but my desktop icons are all missing and I cant even add new ones even when I try to click and drag for the highlight thingy nothing happens its like nothing is there but my desktop wallpaper.

Does anyone know how I can try and fix this? I have used my awesome tech skills of turning the computer off and then ..turning it back on but for some odd reason this isn't working (I know I was also shocked)

    Thanks for any help!

First thing to try is hold down the Windows key and tap R

This should bring up a box - type explorer.exe into the box and press enter

hopefully you should see your normal screen - if not please note any error messages please report back with what happens -

    Hi Error Creator

    1) Try SAFE MODE.

    2) Try safe mode, REPAIR MY COMPUTER.

    3) Try safe mode, repair my computer, SYSTEM RESTORE.

Have just noticed that your specs show you are running the 32 Bit Beta

If this is accurate then the simple cause for this error is that the Beta has expired.

Please confirm the actual build number, Source, and activation status of your copy of Windows 7

    Chuckle.

I stole "Koo Koo cachoo" from the Beatles "Goob goob j`goob" many years ago.

    After a sneeze.

No one has ever said 'bless you' until today.

You never know what will happen at SF.
